Geomatics Surveyor

• Deliver geomatics survey component in Exploration, Development, Production and Asset Management activities.

• Provide inputs into update of Geomatics specifications, Service Level Agreements, Value Tracker, Geomatics incident register, Geomatics processes and statutory requirements and provide alignment with Geomatics work instructions/processes and best practices. 

• Represent all aspects of Geomatics capabilities and responsibilities in engagements with customers.

• Embed improvements in HSSE behaviors and performance through appropriate planning, auditing, and inspections of contractor's work areas and equipment for a project.  

• Responsible for and review plans of CSRs to ensure that each project is governed by a comprehensive Project Specific HSSE and ER plan. Participates in HSE incident investigation and close out of projects. The role is HSE-critical.

• Contribute to minimizing costs of projects without jeopardizing the overall project objectives or HSSE performance.

• Liaise with customers to influence project design, timing and delivery. Track costs and performance during project execution. 

• Participate in review meetings and share learnings for all other projects where they could be applicable.

• Use experiences with current operations and newly deployed technological solutions to enhance workflows for projects across Renaissance areas of operation.

• Analyze the operational, cost and technical performance of surveys, with the aim of harnessing newly developed technology that has not yet been deployed in Renaissance.

• Influence the revision and ever-greening of Geomatics technical standards and specifications to enable co-ordination that supports Renaissance needs. Know and implement DCAF standards. Coordinate Technical Assurance of individual deliverables. Liaise with TA2/1 to ensure QC actions are closed out and documented.

• Participate in Geomatics discipline activities. Be part of one discipline improvement project.

• Ensure that onshore operation surveys practices in Renaissance are fully aligned to Renaissance and industry specifications and standards.

• Represent Renaissance to professional bodies, governmental authorities, partners, and contractors regarding survey issues (both technical and regulatory) for varying projects.  Participate in and present to internal and external conferences. Sharing knowledge and experience, recognizing technology gaps and opportunities.

• Act as contract user to specialized survey positioning contract for the delivery of survey work.

• Minimum of Bachelor's degree in in Surveying & Geomatics degree (B.Sc., B. Tech.) from a recognized university.

• Previous experience as a QA/QC Surveyor, Party Leader, Project Surveyor or related role. 

• 3+ years of post-graduation survey experience with sound knowledge of Geodesy, Topographical, Engineering, Cadastral and Hydrographic survey. Including Programming and be skill in use of ESRI ArcGIS suite of applications.

• Experience working within the Oil & Gas industry will be considered an important advantage.

• Must be registerable by the Surveyors Council of Nigeria (SURCON).
